Our Story

Greater Works Deliverance Center, Inc. under the leadership of Pastor Vincent J. Alexander, III, was established and incorporated on March 21, 2022.

The ministry stands firmly on John 14:12: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father." This ministry was prophetically called into existence on December 2, 2021, during a revival service, and God has orchestrated every step of our journey to do a greater work.

On March 27, 2022, we held our first service with thirty-eight founding members in the gymnasium of a local charter school. From there, we moved to 1089 Joseph Avenue, then briefly to 1270 Scottsville Road, before finally settling at 664 Hudson Avenue, our first owned property. Each step has been guided by God, preparing us for the ministry and community impact we are experiencing today.

Greater Works Deliverance Center is more than a building. It is a living, breathing ministry committed to worship, teaching, and community outreach. Our initiatives include annual Back-to-School Supply Distributions, a Christmas Toy Drive benefiting children at Golisano Children’s Hospital, a Thanksgiving Food Drive, and Community Thanksgiving Dinner. We have plans of expanding to provide weekly food pantry services, youth enrichment programs, jail and reentry ministry, and community prayer and counseling support.

As our Pastor states, “Greater Works Deliverance Center represents faith in action—being the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing hope, healing, and transformation for generations to come.”

Looking forward, we see Greater Works Deliverance Center as a vibrant hub for worship, outreach, and community empowerment serving the people of Rochester, New York for generations to come.

As the Lord said, “Upon this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Throughout these years, God has revealed His plan for our ministry and continues to manifest His vision daily. Truly, as Psalm 118:23 declares: "This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes."
